Conqueror - Made in Scotland

Heritage, roots and a tradition of quality.
In 2017, Conqueror has embraced its legacy, while propelling itself into the future by building a new visual expression and adopting a new lock-up. Based on contemporary imagery, the visual campaign chooses to focus on Scotland, the home of Conqueror, celebrating the natural and spectacular beauty of the Scottish highlands and the world of our Stoneywood paper mill, near Aberdeen.
A limited edition photography book

To help usher customers into the immersive imagery of Scotland’s nature and the Stoneywood paper mill, a limited edition Conqueror book was produced. The result is a deliberate soft-cover book, with French-bound inside-pages. Images run over the edge of the pages, inviting the peruser to play with the fold of the paper in order to view continuous images, hence creating a physical connection with the material.

The book is designed by North and produced by Pure Print in the UK. Photography is 4-colour litho printed on five different 100g papers from the Conqueror range, mixing finishes and colours while maintaining excellent printing quality.

Arjowiggins x AGI Open Paris
Supporting the launch of the Made in Scotland limited edition book, a photography exhibition has been brought during D&AD New Blood Festival in London, Arjowiggins pop-up exhibition in Dubai, and AGI Open in Paris.

Last September, Arjowiggins was the main partner of AGI Open 2017 conference in Paris. AGI - Alliance Graphique Internationale – unites the world’s leading graphic designers and artists in a professional club of common interest and achievement. For four days, an eclectic line up of international speakers debated in different locations in Paris on the changing social role of graphic design today, under the theme « Borders ».

For the occasion, a pop-up showspace celebrated our iconic Conqueror range: for five days, French graphic designers, clients and AGI members had the opportunity to visit us in this ephemeral shop located in the trendy area of Le Marais and meet with the French team of Antalis Paper Consultants. This space, entirely dedicated to Conqueror, was an opportunity to introduce the new Conqueror limited edition book to the French audience, and to showcase the photography exhibition Made in Scotland.
